We are about honoring God with Worship
BMT YOUTH MINISTRY provides youths with a time and a place to honor God through worship. We understand that true worship is doing everything to the glory of God, whether that takes place on the court, in the classroom, or at their jobs. Because most of our teens spend the week surrounded by other teens that are apathetic or even hostile to God, we believe it is important for them to be encouraged on Fridays and Saturdays through worship with other teens who share their love for Christ.

 

We are about expository preaching from the Word of God
BMT YOUTH MINISTRY provides youths with the opportunity to hear preaching which is focused on the truth of God's revealed Word. Because we believe that sanctification is a direct result of the washing of sins by the blood of Jesus and the truth of His Word, we are committed to faithfully and accurately preaching the Word of God. Our messages focus on what the Bible says about issues that are relevant to today's day and age. The sound and clear biblical teaching, verse by verse, is delivered Saturdays evenings.

We are about ministry opportunities
BMT YOUTH MINISTRY encourages our teens to exercise their spiritual gifts in ministry opportunities. For example, BMTYM is active in both the dance and drama ministries, this in turn gives our youths a wide arena for those wishing to serve God. Whether it is leading music the second Friday a month in YOUTHS TAKE OVER CHURCH, giving a challenge in SMALL GROUP FRIDAYS, taking down chairs after Sunday-morning worship, or working in the fund raising Bake Sales, our youths show their love for God and for their neighbors by putting into practice the gift(s) God has given them.

We are about Fellowship and Fun

Finally, BMT YOUTH MINISTRY provides youths with fun in the context of Christian fellowship. Our ministry provides yearly retreats to Camp Florahome, located near beautiful Palatka Florida. These retreats are life changing, the 10 acre wooded area offers a perfect opportunity to disconnect from the fast paced city life and focus on God and His creation.


We also fellowship with local congregations, and attend many other events. At years end we hold our yearly Youth Rally, TARGET THE TRUTH. This event offers an opportunity for the youths to minister in dance and drama, but especially to hear the revealed world of the living God.

In a day when the success of youth ministry is defined by attendance, or how effectively the ministry can meet felt needs, we know that success is defined by our faithfulness to the stewardship God has entrusted to us. As we continue to labor for the lives of our youths, we pray that God will use this ministry to sanctify them entirely, and that they will be preserved completely, without blame in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thess. 5:23).
